The store is located on the London Road Retail Park on the outskirts of Grantham.
Previously a ceramic tile retail warehouse, the project commenced with the complete strip out of fixtures, flooring, partitions & ceilings to take the unit back to a 9000ft2 bare shell.
The store entrance was relocated, with the old entrance becoming the display window. The fit-out works included forming staff, stock & office areas to the rear of the premises, with 5500ft2 of retail space being given to the home furnishings department & 2000ft2 to ladies fashion garments.
The finishings included a new lay-in grid suspended ceiling, wood floors throughout and the formation of room sets using various decorative finishes to walls.
The merchandising system to the home furnishings department is in itself a quality display of fitted furniture, comprising wardrobes, a display of designer fabrics & wallpapers, hanging & shelving systems, display of home wares, curtains & rugs and a fantastic display of interior lighting.
The project also included a full M & E installation and external pedestrian paving to the newly formed entrance area.
